The section Information Systems (IS) occupies itself with designing and building software systems for storage and distribution of information. The section harbors two research groups:

• AIS, which concentrates on the Analytics for Information Systems,
• DB, which is concerned with Databases, and
• DM, which is concerned with Data Mining.
