Using Dotted Chart to investigate the arrival rate of new cases

Hello every body.

I want to use the dotted chart of Prom 6.6 to study the arrival rate of new cases.

Can you tell me which setting for Trace Sorting should I use to have a better insight on the arrival rate of new cases:

  • sort on time: timestamp of first event
  • sort on time: star time of a trace
  • or sort trace as they were in the original file

Thank you.

Best regards.

  • Dear Hicheur,

The first two options are similar, the third usually results in the same effect as well, although some event logs are not really sorted.
I usually use one of the first options.
