  • Dear Ramya,

If you downloaded the latest ProM 6 version you should also have an updated version of XESame. If you start XESame you should see 'revision 5439' in the splash screen (the white/green screen that you get when you start XESAme).
If you see a lower number you should download a newer version of ProM 6 and XESame and install it.

The XES extensions used to be located at http://code.fluxicon.com/xes/ but are now moved to http://www.xes-standard.org/. This is changed in the latest release of XESame.
If you opened a mapping that you created with this older version of XESame the best thing you can do is to open the .mapping file in a text editor, search for 'http://code.fluxicon.com/xes/' and replace each occurance with http://www.xes-standard.org/.

    Hope this fixes your problem!

  • Dear Joos,

Thank you. It fixed up my problem but I have one doubt. Is it that I need to be connected to internet always for the XEsame to work as I get unknown hostexception if I dont have the connection.
  • Dear Ramya,

I'm glad that your problem is fixed.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, OpenXES (the Java library used to read/write XES event logs) requires a connection to the internet to get the extension definition.
I'll investigate if either OpenXES or XESame can cache these extensions and use the cached version such that an internet connection is only needed the first time you use an extension.

I don't think I can provide you with a new version of XESame soon so for the moment, I'm afraid that you need to be connected to the internet.
