I correctly understood that the company want to minimise any reopens in first question (undesired outcome 2)?

    You are right, reopening a case is undesired. You can detect reopening by the existence of a subprocess "Change" or "Objection". Some other activities may appear in the log after closing a case (payment), but they are usually the result of batch processes relating to updating other documents that do not result in additional manual work.
