"NaN" in Replay a Log on PetriNet for Conformance/Performance Checking

I have been trying to find the bottlenecks in the processes that take place in the ICU in hospitals. However, for some process, I get "NaN" instead of the time it takes for that process. Does anyone know the cause of this and how to solve it?

  • Hi,

NaN means "Not a Number". Somehow, the computation of the time it takes for the process fails to produce a number. This can, for example, be caused by missing timestamps, or perhaps a division by zero somewhere along the computation. I would try to isolate a single case (trace) for which the plugin gives you this NaN result, and then (manually) check the timestamps for this case. This may provide you with a hint why you get this NaN result.

    Kind regards,
    Eric.
