Project Members

Dr. Michel R.V. Chaudron

Michel is assistant professor within the SAN group and he is leading the EmpAnADa project together with Christian Lange. He conducts case studies, experiments, and he maintains EmpAnADa's contacts to industrial partners. His research interests include empirical software engineering, software architecture and component based development. He has initiated several industrial research projects and he has worked two years with CMG (now LogicaCMG) as a software architect.

Christian F.J. Lange, MSc

Christian is a PhD student within the SAN group and he is leading the EmpAnADa project together with Michel Chaudron. He develops techniques to improve the quality of UML models, and he conducts industrial case studies and experiments. His research interests include empirical software engineering, software architecture and software quality. He has initiated the EmpAnADa project.

Marcel van Amstel, BSc

Marcel is MSc student within EmpAnADa. He investigates the applicability of model-checking techniques to assess properties of UML sequence diagrams. He is implementing a sequence diagram analysis tool based on the model-checker SPIN. His research interests include software engineering, formal verification, UML sequence diagrams.

Martin Wijns, MSc

Martijn has been a MSc student within EmpAnADa. He has implemented the MetricView Evolution tool. His research interests include software visualization, software evolution and open-source development. He has participated in several workshops and seminars, where he presented the MetricView Evolution tool. Currently he is software engineer at Sioux Embedded Systems B.V.

René Ladan

René is MSc student within EmpAnADa. He works on an assignment from Getronics PinkRoccade. The goal of this assignment is to develop a technique to automatically transform UML models using functions denoted in UML and a accompanying tool. His (research) interests include model transformers/compilers and open source development.

Dennis van Opzeeland, MSc

Dennis has been a MSc student within EmpAnADa. He has developed techniques to assess the correspondence and the differences between UML models and implementations. He has implemented the Design-Implementation-Conformance-Tool (DICT). His research interests include software architecture and empirical software engineering. He is the founder of QUESTO Software and works as software architect in his company.

Johan Muskens, MSc

Johan has been a researcher within the SAN group. He has developed the Software Architecture Analysis Tool (SAAT). His research interests include software architecture analysis, component-based software engineering, and integration of third-party software. He has participated in several international projects. Currently he is researcher at Philips Research Laboratories in Eindhoven.

Maurice Termeer, MSc

Maurice has done an internship within the EmpAnADa project. He has implemented the MetricView tool. His research interest is information visualization. Currently he is PhD student at the TU Vienne in Austria. Visit his personal homepage.
