Short bio
Education
- PhD, Computer Science at University of Hannover and L3S Research Center, 2011
- MSc, Computer Science, University of Saarland and Max Planck Institute for Informatics, 2005
- MSc, Advanced Information Technologies, University of Cyprus , 2004
- BSc, Computer Science, University of Cyprus , 2002
Research focus
My research focuses on data-intensive systems, with a preference for
managing unbounded data streams and distributed/scale-out algorithms. I like
developing/combining approximate algorithms with hardware accelerators (GPUs,
FPGAs) and Big Data platforms.
