Location

The university buildings are situated near the Eindhoven railway (and bus) station. Leaving the platform, go down the stairs and turn right. Leave the station on the north side, facing the bus station. The university campus is situated to the north-east (to your right) and are about ten minutes walk. Use the on-line international time table of the Dutch railways (called NS) for international train connections to Eindhoven.

The workshop will be held at "De Zwarte Doos" (see picture below), and is one of the first buildings you encounter on the TU/e campus (ariving from the train station).

Travel

Through Amsterdam airport

From Amsterdam Airport take the direct train to Eindhoven (2x per hour). Schiphol station is directly under the arrival hall. Tickets are available from the NS point of sale or from the machine, both in the arrival hall (you cannot buy a ticket on the train). The big yellow NS (NS is the Dutch abbreviation for Dutch railways) signs indicate platform number and time tables. The Dutch railways have an on-line train time table (enter "Schiphol" for Amsterdam airport) which also indicates platform numbers and final destinations of trains. The journey takes about one and a half hours to Eindhoven. A single ticket Schiphol-Eindhoven costs 18,50 Euro

Through Eindhoven airport

There is a shuttle bus available from Eindhoven Airport to the center of Eindhoven (401). The other possibility is to take a taxi to the center of Eindhoven which will cost about 35,- Euro

Other airports

It's also possible, although less convenient, to arrive at Eindhoven via the airports of Maastricht, Rotterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf and Düsseldorf-Weeze
