Tom Verhoeff is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computing Science of Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e). He works in the group Software Engineering & Technology.

His research used to include the Encyclopedia of Delay-Insensitive Systems.

He maintains the web pages concerning the Dutch Mathematics Olympiad. (Some stuff about International Science Olympiads.

Member of WIRE (TUE Mathematics Alumni), ACM (Senior Member), CSTA, IEEE Computer Society, Royal Dutch Mathematical Society (KWG), and NVTI.

Participated in the Esprit Working Group on Asynchronous Circuit Design (ACiD-WG), was a member of the ACiD-WG Technical Management Committee.

He was Finals Director for the World Finals of the 23rd ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest held in 1999 in Eindhoven at TUE, and Director of European Contests for 1998-2000, and received the European Founders Award at the 28th ICPC Prague in 2004.

He was chair of the IOI Scientific Committee for 1999-2007, and received the IOI Distinguished Service Award in Zagreb in 2007.
