Our paper describing our analysis of a distributed grid system supporting production activities as well as user data analysis used at CERN was accepted for CCGrid'12. The actual system has been under development for over 10 years. Our models revealed livelocks and race conditions, explaining phenomena observed in the actual system.

As of a few days ago, I'm qualified to teach ;-) That is, I have earned a document --colloquially known as a BKO-- stating that I have 'shown to have attained the required level for the pedagogical competencies of the University Teaching Qualification'.

Joy! Our paper on consistent consequence for Boolean equation systems has been accepted at SOFSEM 2012. In this paper, Maciek Gazda and I prove that this preorder on the proposition variables can be used to under-approximate the solution to such equation systems. Apart from that, we address its decidability (the problem turns out to be coNP complete) and we give a sound and complete proof system for reasoning about consistent consequence. Our preorder may just serve as the semantic basis for abstraction and refinement techniques for abstract interpretation for PBESs.

I've been nominated for our university's teaching award; that came sort of as a --pleasant-- surprise! Thx to the students that voted for me!
