About me

I received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey in 2002 and received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2006. I did my Ph.D. research on multiple-objective optimized video streaming. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the System Architecture and Networking (SAN) group at Eindhoven University of Technology. I am married to Cicek.

 


 

Current Activities

  • I am a Technical Program Committee member of SAINT 2012 (The 12th IEEE/IPSJ International Symposium on Applications and the Internet) organized in Izmir, Turkey, 16-20 July 2012. Call for papers

  • I am a reviewer of Elsevier Signal Processing: Image Communication Journal, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology and numerous international conferences.

  • I am the organizer of regular group seminars held at TU/e System Architecture and Networking Group. You can find the meeting schedule here.

 


 

Past Activities

  • I was a Technical Program Committee member of the Semantic Information for Smart Spaces (SISS'11) workshop, organized in conjunction with SAINT 2011 in Munich Germany 18-22 July 2011.

  • I was a Technical Program Committee member of The First International Workshop on Self-managing Solutions for Smart Environments (S3E 2011), organized in conjunction with GPC 2011 in Oulu, Finland, 11-13 May 2011

  • I was a Technical Program Committee member of the first International Workshop on Semantic Interoperability for Smart Spaces (SISS 2010), that will be held on 22 June 2010 in Riccione (Italy) as part of the IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC 2010).

  • I was a Technical Program Committee member of the first International Workshop on Measurability of Security in Software Architectures (MeSSa 2010) that will be held on August 23, 2010 in Copenhagen (Denmark). The workshop is co-located with the 4th European Conference of Software Architecture (ECSA).
