About
I received
the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent
University, Ankara, Turkey in 2002 and received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical
Engineering from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey in
2006.
During my Ph.D. work, I developed multiple objective optimization models
for content adaptive online streaming of low bitrate (below
entertainment-quality) videos
over best effort networks.
In 2006, I joined the System Architecture and Networking Research (SAN)
group at TU/e as a postdoctoral researcher. For a period of two years my
research was mainly on enhancing the Quality of Service for streamed
multimedia in Next Generation Networks (NGN) and IP Multimedia Subsystem
(IMS).
Since 2008, I am an assistant professor of Computer Science
at the System Architecture and Networking (SAN) group of Eindhoven
University of Technology.
I am married to Cicek.
